The Corinth Canal connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea . It is the unquestionable sea “umbilical cord” between Western and Eastern Mediterranean.
We are going to stop to see this miracle of modern construction and then you will be driven to see the ancient Diolkos passage. It (Δίολκος, from the Greek dia διά, “across”, and holkos ὁλκός, “portage machine”) was a paved trackway near Corinth, in ancient Greece, which enabled boats to be moved overland across the Isthmus of Corinth. The shortcut allowed ancient vessels to avoid the long and dangerous circumnavigation of the Peloponnesian peninsula. 

Nafplio is considered to be one of the most beautiful and romantic towns in Greece. Here, we walk through Greek history from archaic times to the present. Legend says that the town was founded by Nafplios, son of the god Poseidon. Nafplios’ son Palamides fought in the Trojan War and today, his namesake, the huge Palamides castle, still stands atop the hill overlooking the town. We will drive you up to this famous castle to explore and enjoy the panoramic view.

Ancient Messene. One of Greece’s best-preserved archaeological sites, Ancient Messene combines the grandeur of Delphi with the natural beauty of Olympia. Designed around a symmetrical grid system (known as the Hippodamian plan) rather than the more typical labyrinth to ward off attacks, the city can be seen as a forerunner to modern urban planning, with excellent fortifying walls that helped protect the gem we can all enjoy today. 

Dimitsana village is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved villages in mountainous Arcadia, with unique architecture, atmospheric guesthouses, impressive monasteries, the Canyon of Lucius and Mount Mainalo, with its forest, ski center & panoramic views. Dimitsana has long been a popular destination, mainly for Greeks.

Prodromos and Philosophos monasteries. Impressive monasteries with wooden balconies hanging from the cliffs of the Lousios Gorge since the 16th century! From there, a path leads down to the Lousios River and then ascends to the other side of the gorge, bringing you to the Philosophos monastery, built in 1691. You’ll visit the 10th-century Catholic church and then enter the New monastery (Nea Moni Philosophou) to admire the murals that have embellished it since 1693. This is one of the most impressive attractions in the area.

The Heraion of Perachora was a sanctuary for the goddess Hera, situated in a small cove of the Corinthian gulf at the end of the Perachora peninsula. In addition to a temple of Hera, which is of unusual construction, the remains of a number of other structures have also been found, including a L-shaped stoa, a large cistern, dining rooms, and a second potential temple remnants. The Heraion Archaeological Site is visited by thousands of culture and history lovers throughout the world every year, since the 6th century BC.

Acrocorinth is a castle nestled on the steep rock of Acrocorinth and rising above the southwest of Ancient Corinth. It was the fortified acropolis for ancient and medieval Corinth. Fortification was ensured through a system of three enclosures, separated by walls, which were in turn reinforced by towers and bastions.

Saint Paul is also known as the Apostle of the Nations because of his missionary journeys throughout the eastern Mediterranean for the dissemination of Christianity. In this context, he visited several Greek cities, including the island of Samothrace, Philippi, Thessalonica and Veroia in Macedonia, Athens and, most importantly, Corinth. Corinth, a Roman imperial colony and capital of the province of Achaea (Peloponnese and Central Greece), experienced a period of great prosperity during the Roman era. Saint Paul arrived in the city in the mid-1st century. AD
