The main mosaic workshop proposal refers to one-and-a-half-hour seminar duration which the participants are introduced to the mosaic art while making their own Mosaic piece of art.
The workshop begins with a brief presentation of the history of the mosaic art from the ancient time still today. After that the participants get to know more about the materials and the tools and they are invited to design their own mosaic. Following comes the construction and completion of the mosaics. In the end of the workshop each participant takes their mosaic with the masa souvenir of their experience.
The mosaic made in the workshop is a square piece measuring 10X10cm, using marble tesserae as the main material and classical as well as geometrical reference designs.
The workshop offers a rare opportunity to meet with an ancient art that is part of Greek history and tradition, enjoy creative time and take home a handmade souvenir.
