The main mosaic workshop proposal refers to a one-and-a-half-hour seminar, in which the participants are introduced to the art of mosaics while making their own Mosaic piece of art.
The workshop begins with a brief presentation of the history of mosaic art from ancient times to today. After that, the participants get to know more about the materials and the tools used and are invited to design their own mosaic. Construction and completion of the mosaics follow, always with the appropriate kind of guidance. In the end, each participant takes their mosaic with the masa, as a souvenir of this experience.
The mosaic made in the workshop is a square piece measuring 10X10cm, using marble tesserae as the main material and classical as well as geometrical designs.
The workshop offers a rare opportunity to meet with an ancient art that is part of Greek history and tradition, while enjoying creative time and taking home a handmade souvenir!
