TREASURE HUNT IN NAFPLIO BASED ON THE 12 TASKS OF HERCULES
Hercules treasure hunt
What is it all about
A creative game based on the mythical Hero Hercules and his 12 tasks. It is well designed for kids from 5-12 years old.
Hidden objects, puzzles, drawings, maps, labyrinths, and calculations are some of the ways to motivate children and learn with fun!
In modern times, many people’s daily routines are shaped by artificial needs, misleading role models, and influencers who often promote confusion and misdirection. This is especially true for children, who are highly sensitive and exposed to overwhelming amounts of information they are not yet equipped to understand. Hercules’ treasure hunt offers a valuable escape from this by allowing children to live an experience that will stimulate their brain and enhance their critical thinking skills.

Why Hercules’ treasure hunt
Firstly, Hercules is a Greek Hero who represents not only physical power but mental too, as well as resilience and perseverance.
We all should learn the above, especially children, in order to build a life with strong character values and principles.
According to the Hercules’ treasure hunt, the children and parents will walk through the city of Nafplion with our English-speaking local guide, who will inform them of the historical and mythological background related to the upcoming treasure game. There are going to be 4 stops where extra directions will be given to the children on how to proceed. Parents can help or participate just by enjoying their cold coffee! Three of the four stops are related to local shops and houses, so that the children can interact with the locals, who will help them with the treasure hunt and give them local, tasty goodies.
At the end, we will have a philosophical discussion regarding what we learnt and how the symbolism and the morals of the story can help us in our everyday lives.
Of course, a surprise gift is also waiting for the winner!
