We meet in the central square of Mystras where we get to know each other, familiarize ourselves with the bikes and learn the safety instructions.
We start from the village of Parori where we make a brief stop at the central square with the natural springs under the trees.
We continue towards Sparta. During the ride, we pass through fields with olive trees, orange trees, and lemon trees. We cross the traditional village of Agiannis and continue towards Sparta.
We stop at the courtyard of the metropolis. We talk about ancient Sparta, the life of the Spartans, and the modern city built on the ancient one. How do modern Spartans perceive their past?
We continue our tour and stop for a photo in front of the statue of the great ancient king of Sparta, Leonidas.
We continue towards the area of Magoula where we start to take a provincial road which is surrounded by centuries-old olive groves. We discuss the role of olive oil production in the economy and its impact on all aspects of Greek life from antiquity to today. Throughout the journey, we admire the Taygetos mountain range, the village of Mystras, and the castle town of Mystras.
Finally, we pass through Mystras and stop at the village cemetery where we discuss the traditions surrounding death from antiquity to today.
We end our ride with a small tour inside the new village of Mystras where we see the traditional and more modern houses of the area.
We complete our tour from where we started, in the central square of Mystras.
Long Tour
20KM 2:30 Hours Tour

We meet in the central square of Mystras where we get to know each other, familiarize ourselves with the bikes and learn the safety instructions.
We start the ascent to the hill of Mystras where we enjoy the route having on one side of the road the castle town of Mystras and on the other the valley of Eurotas. We arrive at the village of Pikoulianica were we can enjoy the wonderful panoramic view. There we talk about the geography and the history of the place through the centuries. Why and how it started to be inhabited, from ancient Sparta until today. When did the valley of Evrotas begin to be inhabited and how did the environment determine the character of the ancient and modern Spartians?
We continue the ascent towards to Trypi and Taygetos, reaching the cave of Kaiadas where the ancient Spartans threw their sick babies. Myth or reality? Through the discussion we will find out who the ancient Spartans were in the end.
Then we descend the main road that ends in the area of Magoula. The landscape there is enchanting as it is in nature with a wonderful view of the olive groves of the valley.
Having reached the middle of the route at Magoula we are heading for Mystras through a provincial road between centuries-old olive groves. We talk about the history of the olive tree and how important role it has played in the history of Greece.
We pass through Mystras and stop at the village cemetery where we discuss the traditions surrounding death from antiquity to today.
Optionally, we go to the village of Parori (1 km from Mystras) where we see the cool springs which gush from Taygetos. There begins a path Ε4 (we going on foot) who leads at a church which is built inside a cave where, according to tradition, Constantine Palaiologos, the last emperor of Byzantium, swore before setting off for Constantinople and make the preparations for the city siege. ( This tour is on foot, hacking in ravine. 30 munities tour).
We end our ride with a small tour inside the new village of Mystras where we see the traditional and more modern houses of the area.
