The Βuried path starts either from Karathona beach or from the monastery of the Transfiguration of the Lord.
It is a naturalist route with continuously sew view and view of the surrounding mountains, the smells of the thyme and oregano are accompanied you during to your walking tour.
The paths is dirt with stones and thorns so it necessary you to wear long pant and shirt for your protection.
Its level is medium not for its distance and its elevation difference but to its dirt form.
There is only a small uphill or downhill (it depends the direction which you want to go) about 150m with enough inclination which is one spot that needs to be carefull.
There is one unpleasant ‘sightseeing’ .It is the dump of the city, Nafplio and we can avoid it.
Fortunately there is no unpleasant smells because the majority of the garbage are plastic.
To enjoy the route you should accept this ‘civilization sightseeing’ that is part of your walking tour.
Do not forget that one of the modern civilization achievements that there are obvious even from the moon is the dump of New York city!
The monastery of the Transfiguration of the Lord was built on the 14th century and ruins of the Venetian 5 floor tower are next to the monastery that it is worth to visit them.
The surrounding nature with its quietness makes the visitor feel relaxed and it is an ideal place to hear the local secret stories about the history of the monastery.
