Ioannis Maglaris, was born in Tripoli, Arkadia, in 1968. He had been involved in racing cycling as an athlete for 13 years. In 1987, as a member of the National Cycling Team, he scored a national record in the Men Elite Sprint on the track, which he held for 5 years.He is a graduate of the Department of Physical Education and Sport of the Democritus University of Thrace, specializing in handball and weight lifting. During his studies he completed a diploma thesis entitled “Cycling and Hellenic Reality“, which was awarded at the 2nd International Congress of Physical Education and Sports in Komotini 20-22 / May/1994.He has also got diplomas of handball referee, a swimming judge, a cycling judge, a triathlon judge, and in GR.A.F.T.S. Aerobics.Since 1991 he has been a cycling trainer, certified by the General Secretariat for Sport, in many teams and he has marked outstanding athletes with distinctions at both national and European athletic events.Today he is a father of four boys, he owns a bicycle store in Tripoli and he is the exclusive distributor of Fuji brand in Greece.
