My family of 7 went on an 11-day cruise to Italy and Greece and our favorite excursion was our hike with Grecopaths. Stavroula was a wonderful guide and took care of planning the entire day in Nafplio for us. We decided to do the “Breasts of Aphrodite” hike because of the swimming and kayaking portion. We got picked up at the port and drove to Tolo where the hike took place. Once we got there, Stavroula got the kayaks for us so that we could kayak to the island where we took the hike. We kayaked over and when we arrived there was a group of scouts there. They had sailed all the way down from Athens and were camping there for a few weeks! We spent the majority of the trip hiking up to the top of the island. On the way up there was countless spice plants (like sage) growing everywhere so the whole island smelled like a spice cabinet; it was great! The hike was a little difficult so you want to be in decent shape to make it up to the top but it wasn’t anything that we couldn’t handle. The whole way up the views were beautiful but the top was breathtaking! We sat up there and had some fresh fruit Stavroula had brought for us and enjoyed the scenery. Then we hiked back down to a secluded beach and we were practically the only ones there! We spent the rest of the afternoon swimming, jumping off rocks into the water, and hanging out on the beach. Then we kayaked back and drove back to the port.
Overall, it was an extremely memorable, fun, active day that my family will definitely not forget! Beautiful views and great people were the best part! Thank you Grecopaths for such a great day!
