For our last full day in Greece we decided to see if we could learn to cook some of our favorite dishes. Within 24 hours Stavroula had agreed to pick us up by bike ( as requested) and arranged lessons in preparing the specific dishes we had proposed.We followed this enthusiastic young lady through back roads of Nafplio into the surrounding countryside, stopping to pick some fruit and at some interesting sites. Then we hit a winding dirt road and surrounded by rows of orange, olive, pistachio, and pomegranate trees finally arrived at a lovely family home with a picture-book view.It was here where my husband and I spent the next few hours learning some secrets of Greek cooking. Lovely family and the fresh ingredients ( as well as our healthy appetites) transcended any language and cultural barriers.
I think not only the experience itself but the ability and willingness to tailor- make an experience is what earns this company a 5-star rating!
